A Precise Introduction to Jiu Jitsu
Start your adventure into Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and a powerful system of self-defence, with our specially designed Beginners Course. This program (of 4 weekly classes on Saturday mornings) offers a carefully crafted introduction into the sophisticated grappling system of takedowns, ground-control and submissions, collectively known as BJJ.
In this program, you will learn the core techniques, terminology & concepts of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in a fun, safe, and cooperative environment. Each hour-long lesson helps to quickly embed the classic 4 Stage Strategy of Jiu Jitsu by taking the new student from standing start into a grounded self-defence technique, towards positional control and finally into a submission.
The course is specifically designed for individuals with no previous experience and, within the space of a month, will effectively introducing the core ideas behind Jiu Jitsu. As safety is our number one priority, there is no competitive sparring in this initial program.
Upon completion of your 4 Week Beginners Course, we are sure that you and the entire group will feel fully prepared and eager to put on a Gi, tie a crisp new white belt around your waist, join our regular BJJ classes & embrace the wider aspects of the "Gentle Art".
